ABOUT
About Polio SA
Polio SA is run by volunteers who support South Australians living with the late effects of polio. We share information, host guest speakers and experts, and help people connect with others who understand.
OUR STORY
How we started
In February 1991, Mrs Anesbury placed an advert in the Adelaide Advertiser inviting people who had had polio to a meeting at the Adelaide Town Hall.
The group formed to create a post-polio support group, help members support each other and work out how the medical profession could assist those affected.WHAT WE STAND FOR

-
Values
Raising awareness and acceptance of the late effects of polio in the wider community.
-
